hey guys. i have a 89 hatch back. i plan to build up a ka24de and then just swap it into the car. but i wanted to turbo the ka24e thats in the car for now because it will take a while to build the other engine, and the ka24e thats on the car has 90k so it still has some life on it. my question is, if i turbo the ka24e would i be able to use that same turbo kit on the ka24de? or would i have to change some stuff? if so what are gonna be the changes im gonna have to make? another question is what would i need to swap in the ka24de? thank you, any advice and help will be appreciated.

 

looks like you have some reSEARCH to do. i think it would be pointless to turbo the single ka if your gonna boost the double. just save yourself some time and money and youll be able to have that doublecam turbo ka quicker. plus turboing a ka without doing internals is risky.

 

hey guys i had a quick question that dosent seem to get answered on the forums or maybe no one knows the answer too but if i have a completely stock 92 240 dohc how much of a hp increase would say the iap turbo kit add in baseline numbers?

 

well first off you have a single cam which probably has alot of miles on it. and a ka cant hold much power on stock internals. you could run a kit with a t25 or t28 and run 7 psi with a dyno tune. itd be like a stock sr or alittle faster, 200-220whp.something like that.

 

i know the gains wont be tremendous with the ka24e. i know im limited on boost. but i really want boost while i build the other motor. im selling my srt4 so driving my 240 feels really slow, so i just wanna give it a lil boost. im just wondering if i would be albe to use the same turbo kit on the new motor after im done? i will be doing all the work myself so im just gonna spend money on parts
