CLIFFORD is what i had previously but I believe they've been bought out by DEI.

Pretty much DEI is what you'll buy, unless you go alpine or whatever.

go to cc or best buy and pick one up.
i recommend the following add ons:

backup battery
proximity sensor
air horns for an extremely loud alarm.

I dont remember who bought out who, but DEI is the main manufacturer of both Clifford and Viper. Both have the same equipment, but you can get a Viper alarm system for about half the price but it uses lower end stuff Vs. my Clifford Advant Guard G5. The G5 is the last of that series to have auto start for manual cars, newer G6 did not support auto start for manual. I paid a butt load for my system, G5 system w/ proxy, auto start, back up battery and siren, 5 mini pizzos, mercury sensor and black jax. $1300 installed, at the time I thought was worth it. few months later, found the Viper with equivalent equipment was way less online.

clifford is the higher end dei stuff. all owned by DEI.

$1300 for an alarm is insane. remote start on manuals is scary. i've had 2 friends who's cars ran off when left in gear. i had it on my old car, but not the current one.
