next thing you know, some ricer is gonna see this and go buy an empty barrel of "race fuel" fill it with water, cap it good, and say that its the fuel he has to use because his mugen radiator cap needs higher octane fuel to run properly.

I have the cluster, but it all depends if the S15 FSM has info on the wiring or not...that will determine whether I swap it in or sell it...(FSM should be in tomorrow)...the FSM is going to fill alot of holes we have right now in the wiring...then the swap should be done pretty quickly.

ps: yes I painted the car from the factory Alpine White to Porsche 911 Lapis Blue Metallic.

well it depends what you mean by "total cost"...I sold my 00 Civic Si (jackson SC'd @ 10 psi) in September so that I could buy an S14...I bought the car about 2 weeks later than proceeded to order the SR and do body, rims, tires, brakes, stereo mods while i waited...so if you count EVERYTHING including the car price as "total Price" then you are talking about $21k so far!!! (im not done spending either!) HKS 3037, 72lb injectors, ignition, tein suspension, Sparco seats...are just a few goodies still on my "to-do" list....

BUT is you are talking about Just the MOTOR SWAP cost, then I would have to break it down....

S15 SR w/ rear diff & drive shaft: $4500
GReddy IC: $999
GReddy BOV: $180
255 ltr FP: $110
GReddy profec-b: $350
GReddy TT: $85
N1dual exhaust: $400
RT catalytic: $150
GReddy DP: $135
there are a few others that i am leaving out....

installation: $1200
=============================================
so almost $7k in parts (some of the parts are not NECESSITIES to make a swap work, obviously)
and $1200 in labor...

however, dont let my wife know all these numbers, she would not be happy...

as far as the difficulty is concerned...the wiring is a Pain in the ***, as you can imagine...I just got an S15 Silvia factory service manual yesterday, so that looks like it is going to take care of all the problems with wires we had these last 2 weeks ...im hoping to have the car running by Friday...my advice is to be sure you know what you are getting into as far as teh wiring is concerned...because we thought we could wing it, and come to find out we could only find about 2 connectors worth of wires correctly ...so have an FSM handy...or you can choose to send your wiring to Heavy Throttle asnd have them take care of the wiring harness for you ($350)...but the guys in the shop that are doing the swap are Honda and Supra guys...but they are very knowledgeable mechanics...so that may inspire a little more trust in your friends'

Condom_Sense, you are my idol..!!! I've always wanted to do that swap for my 240SX. I guess it's a good thing. Now, I actually know someone who actually has done the S15 swap. If you are kind enof, could you break down the cost and different parts you got for your car? Of course, when you are all done with the swap and all.

YOU THE MAN, Condom_Sense!!!

WELL...guess what..a.fter 3 1/2 long months of waiting, buying parts, etc...my car is FINALLY out of the shop ...ran it all night last night to break it in (stock boost)...I must say I love Japanese engineering ...WOW my car feels like it was re-born...now the S15 has a stock boost of 10 psi, but the only time I could even get close to that numer was in 3rd gear at WOT at about 6800 Rpms...most of the time it stayed at 6-7 Psi...so it looks like its time to tune up and set the Profec-b today to get more accurate boost response...also the car runs rich right now, so im deciding on whether to just get an SAFC or get the Emanage to fine tune the a/f...I should be making a trip to the Dyno next weekend and putting the SR to the test...until then I will enjoy "breaking her in" on the street...thanks guys...and if any of you have questions please feel free to email me at : grhdez@msn.com
