Not to step in ur chili,

'89-early'91 came with CA18DET
The S13 Red-top came in the late '91, and from 92~94
The S13 came in a black-top sold from late model '94 and '95~'98 in the same form S13 (no VTC) in the 180SX TYPE X

--and unlike someone's cousins sister's boyfriend; I lived in Japan and have owned SRs. That's why I brought them back. I have a s13 Black-top and a red-top transiting through customs right now. (military does have its privelages, but had I not been deployed for more than 6 months this year already...my rid ewould be done by Oct.)

This one of the donor car's - I moved back in May..Most of this car came with me.

Hope the info. helps.

Hey Sickboy

Hey bro, you AF or Marines?? I'm guessing AF from how much you've been TDY this year. I'm a C-17 FCC out of Charleston AFB, SC. Anyway, I'm wanting to do the swap in a '98. The S13 would be sufficient if I am planning on over 400whp?? Let me know something bro. Later

AF - just PCS'd to Offutt, NE.
I got about another 10 months left til my 6 years..
civilian select.

I lived in OKinawa (kadena) for over 3 years. All my friends and I drove and drifted.. Most still there, cept me.
I dropped about 6k in parts before I left and picked up a '91 240sx to build up along with some SRs. As far as a swap.. never done one, but a car is a car is a car... and I went the easy route... stand alone engine management. I have most of the SDS set-up. All that is left is running the wires. Except for the crank-angle sensor it is a hell of a lot better than going the wiring harness route. (And cheaper in the long run).. No MAFS, new wiring, new relays, AND TUNABILITY without Eproms and re-written ECUs.

Not mentioning everything, but HKS 2835 "FULL" turbine kit, 260 deg drop Tomei cams, Trust FMIC, SARD 850cc injectors... etc, etc, etc....Diff and all

You have any questions I'll try to help.. if not I can get them answered from my friends still in Japan...We worked on everything..RBs, SRs, CAs, 1-JZs, etc.. auto to manual swaps.. eng. swaps... I also have some bad *** books I picked up with almost every available part and manufacturer for S13, S14, and S15 (3 volumes)...up to the end of 2001.

Damn excellent install! I'm jealous.
I'm planning an S14/5speed swap in my '94. I was quoted $3500 for the motor and tranny, $1200 for the SDS stand alone management system, around $1100 for a Garrett intercooler and custom piping plus a bunch more for install and tuning. This did not include an LSD, how do I get that deal?
Sickboy, what exactly is the deal with the SDS? Is it REALLY that much better than making the stock stuff work? I was thinking of saving some cash and dropping the SDS system and doing most of the install myself. In your opinion, is this a wise move?

Thanks for looking out!!

Thanks guys for helping me out, I can't believe that someone actually has the ***** to claim that as their own and then on top to call it an S15 SR20. What the hell? Condom Sense, you have no Common Sense. If anyone doubts that this is my car, I will send you any picture of any angle that you want, includfing a souple oif test fit pictures with me posing in front of the car before it got painted. You guys all got fooled, this guy is claiming my ****.

Rudeboy, you still wanna buy my motor or pretend we never had that conversation?
