2 options here.

#1 if you do put a s14 ka in you can rewire the engine harness to work but everyone i've seen do this seems to have a ghost in the machine.IE the motor acts weird alot idle weird dies for no reason and so on. i have known a couple people do this and get really frustrated and ended up doing option#2

#2 if yo use a 95-98 ka you will need the folowing to make this a bolt in afair.

parts from a s13 ka:
distributor and the coil that goes with it,intake manifold, exhaust manifold, harness ,ecu, downpipe, egr and btu set up, basicly everything except the head and block. tranny will work. also you will need the s13 DOHC speed sensor since your auto will not work.also the tach from a dohc motor.

so the question is , is it worth it. not IMO. now if you have a s13 dohc that has blown in your car then a s14 long block would be ideal. also need to modify power steering to work. and a s13 dohc throttle cable. so as you can see it is a bit of a change over.

Thumbs up How about this then..??

I would like to upgrade my 1989 manual hatch to a newer K24DE, my engine (K24E) is in good shape and low mileage but Im looking in to getting the newer and modified it for performance. Whats the newer engine I can put on my car????? I will only mod things like intake, larger pistons, shave head, etc, very basic upgrades. nothing major, just enough performance to keep the car for another 20 years.....my baby....
