Is it legal?

Im not sure, but will someone read this and tell me if it's real.

http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/aftermkt/replace.htm

If it is real and I read it correctly, then any engine that meets emissions requirements and is the same year or newer than the car you are putting it in, then it is legal, at least as far as emissions goes.

I got this from a different thread and read it..... and if its true then it seems to be legal

P.S.-- I don't live in cali anyway... lol..... and dont flame about the fact that a thread already covered this topic because i don't feel that it did a very good job, just a bunch of mindless arguing

If this page i have is out of date or whatever im sorry and mods can delete the hell out of my thread lol....

looks legit... however seeing as the SR20's and RB's aren't Cali Certified engines, I don't see how this makes anything different...

I never said anything about the engine being sold in the US. If it was sold in the US why would you want one from Japan?

It says if the engine has been identified as functionally identical to the original engine. It also has to be newer and from the same type of car (not the same exact car).
