my powere steering isnt working. all i did when i installed my power steering on my SR was i didnt get the 91 and up lines. i bent a couple of the lines and then fitted a 91 line that i bought at a parts store. the line that i fitted was the line that goes from the P/S to the rack. theres a switch on the line but i dont know if the 91s came with that switch. would that be the problem. i used the 90 lines becuase every junkyard i called didnt have the lines and i really did not want to buy one from nissan. can anyone help me or do you guys need more info

 

The switch is the idle up switch so that when you turn the steering wheel it will idle up. You dont need that switch unless the engine stalls while turning the wheel at idle.

 

its not connected but the power steering kicks in only sometimes. every other time, the car has no power steering. i dont know why its not working.

 

add more fluid
bleed the system by turning the wheel full left full right full left full right and keep checking the fluid level

make sure the lines are hooked right....

reservoir big line to the pump
pump to the rack
rack to the reservoir
