Sorry guys, I was at Hot Import Nights all weekend and am just now catching up on everything.

The RB26 tranny will fit on the RB25...although using it requires mods in the 240SX tranny tunnel.

a 95 GT-R (entire car) is pretty pricey.

A Turbonetics 62-1 turbo is a great turbo for the RB25...it can handle about 20 psi before the stock headgasket will blow, it can go 25+ on stock internals with the right tuning.

The RB25 is a legal engine in the US if it is in a Skyline. A few companies are trying to get it legalized for 240SX placement. You can pass smog if you run lean on boost and fuel and have a good cat.

Hey night - Is there a lot of lag with the T62-1 or does it spool pretty quick.

Well, it will pass a sniffer if I throw a cat back on it and run 0 boost.

The 62-1 turbo will have a bit of lag....full boost around 4500-5000 RPM's depending on what you have your boost set at, but get the ball bearing and it zings like crazy. They're awesome turbos.

Congrats on getting the T4-based turbo in Night. Those things are amazing once the boost hits and the beauty is they don't let off until you do

Quick question about the RB25DET and the head gaskets since the RB25DET uses a high compression ratio for a turbo'd engine (9.0:1 its nice to have 100octane at every pump in Japan). Any experience or recommendations for thicker headgaskets to reduce the compression ratio with the RB25DET?

Thanks,
Alan
- White '95 240sx SE

Current upgrades or installing:
- waiting for 300zx rotors to complete brake conversion
- Tein Springs, KYB AGX Shocks
- 3" cat back exhaust Apex-N1 knockoff.
- 18x7.5 rollers
- Track Time
- more $$$

Near Future
- adjustable TC rods, rear subframe locks, weld-my-own front "nismo power brace".
- As much track time as possible......... So chasis and I will be ready for the RB25DET
- rediculously more $$$
