Reliability of the SR swap in the S14

if it is a direct drop in....are there any issues regarding reliability?

juss from 1st hand experience, my friends RX7 has broken down 3 times since i've know him..and thats in the last 6 months...lol.. he's blown the turbos twice and the other time the motor. but i know RX7s are HIGH maintenance...

Though it is a turbo, what is the reliablitly on the S14 or S15 motors. thanx

well the s14 blacktop for the s14 drops right in, the s15 in the s14 would have some mods to work with

@ heavythrottle and unstable hybrids they dyno their engines before sending them out or dropping them in, so i would not suspect there would be too many probs, i believe they only have around 30-40 thousand miles on them too

yeah i talked to a guy at Unstable Hybrids when i was gonna send my altima to them..but change of plans. im looking for an S14, preferebly the 97-98s, but if i find a junked out 95 i might do that.

do you know how much they would charge for an S15 motor installed?

they quoted me 5 grand for a red top sr20det installed out the door with all the stuff to make it run. but for my car, it needs fabricated motor mounts to fit.

i know its a direct drop in for the 240s, so ...how much would u suspect
