S13 swap into S14, a little too complicated for 1st timer :(

I just bought a 95 240sx with a redtop sr20det installed, BUT not wired. So i decide to download a couple manuals offline and i figure i can do it, what the hell right? I getto looking at the harness', and they look a little scarey. So i call unstable hybrids to pick their Brain a little. And they say i will be lucky to figure out how to wire it in 2-3 months if i do it myself. They werent bieng rude or trying to sell their services to me, he was dead serious. He even recomended sending the harness' to california cus they arent even confident with wiring the S13 to an S14 aparently.
So now i go to pull the harness off the SR20det, and i cant even get my hand between the motor and firewall!

So now ive decided to pull the whole swap back out, send the harness' out to Cali. And get familiar with the whole nissan thing.

In the mean time this sucks !

I think Mkinney motorsports is my best bet. They say $300 to rewire the harness, and 3-4 weeks turnaround.

So i figure when i pull the motor back out, and send that off. I can have to time to check everything out and replace stuff sicne im sure the guy i bought it from just dropped it in there.

He didnt even seperate the motor/tranny to look at the clutch!
Are there any weak points on the motor? Oil Pump? Water pump? Timing chain? Im Deffinatly into "preventive maintnence", fix it before it goes bad. So give me some heads up.

Well i had some extra time today...and i finally got the KA and SR harness' removed from the engine/car. And after i figured all that out, i took of the valve cover just to check things out, and one of the ricker arms is just lying in the head, so thats no damn good. I dont know what would cause that, but nothing can be good from all that. So im deffinatly ripping apart the motor and checking things out now.

May have to sell my turbo GSR to fund this project :'(

Yea that would of been lovely.

I was going to try and see what type of warranty if any the motor had, And the guy i bought the car from told me, "Plan B motorsports" has dipped out on their lease for their building, and he hasny been able to get in touch with them. They also screwed him out of his ECU and Ignitor chip. Oh well, should of bought from a reputable importer.

I highly doubt there's any warranty. And not to be blunt, but maybe you got screwed on the sale, not the other guy

I think the other guy knew exactly what he was getting rid of....now as far as your harness goes...call XAT Racing in Tampa Fla......you can send them the harness and they will do it
