ok i swapped my sr20det in my car about 2 weeks ago (striaght stock SWAP)...everything was going fine until one day i turned on my car and when i drove off right about 3k to 4k in 1st gear my car would start to jerk back and forth almost like if the clutch would catch and then let go. OK now if i slow drive off in 1st gear then i can reach my high rpms but if i just gun it then i will experience that jerking....oh yeah i don't think it my clutch because when the car starts the jerl the rpm done go higher then simply stay...ne one know what i can do?

 

spark plugs?
bad gas?

 

check all your vaccum lines as well as the intercooler hoses

what gas are you using?

and check the spark plugs.

 

if the rpm isn't changing and the engine seems to be running ok, then i'd say its the drivetrain. check your transmission. besides that , if it is the engine i'd say check you spark plugs.

 

I have a similar problem except it doesnt jerk back and forth but it feels like the engine doesnt wanna go faster than its supposed to be at 3/4 k. I dun think it has to do with the transmission, and Ijust changed my spark plugs a week ago. I have an air/fuel ratio gauge and it is reading 13-14 at idling and 10 to 12 on boost. IT seems like it wouldnt be a problem of fuel injection. Is it possible that the fuel rail is wearing out and causes the engine knocking? Did yours seem like the turbo was running? Did the boost go down right after u step on the gas at 3/4 K?

i have a similiar problem. some one tell me how to fix it... cause i gave up. Stupid slow sr20s

edit: lemme clarify... when i give gas, there isnt any jerking or knocking around, but there seems to be know difference between 2 psi and 8psi... it sucks, i dunno wtf is causing it, my motor is way slower than it should be

 

I had That Problem 2 but what i did was Changed Oil (full Syntectic) Change Spark Plugs 2 Greedy. Also upgraded Fuel Pump Walbro 255, And Turn back timmin on my car (no More knockin) After that She Ran Like A Beast And Still Does -
Check Ur Vacuum Hose and IC Pipin
