air temperture sensor

air temperture sensor

I recently made an custom intake, i didnt know were to put the air temp sensor? so i just unplugged it
my car seems to run fine. would thier be any consiquenses.
will this hurt my engine
any solutions?

what does the air temp sensor do?
other then sense the air temp, duh.

ok i read the manual it states it for on board diagnosis only and isnt used with the engine system. but my check engine light is really anoying just gonna tape the sensor some wear but dont want it to look ghetto. any way of clearing the check engine light

if you clear the code it will just throw it as soon as you start your engine back agian.

Remove the bulb or plug in the air temp sensor and tape it somewhere near your intake. I'd tape it to the bottom side of the intake.

ok i just made a hole in the intake and stuck the air temp sensor in will that work

Yes, if you clean the hell out of that intake (don't want metal bits to get in), and make sure that the sensor is sealed to the intake.
