Which is the better buy? Which to get?

Look around:
-Body Panels
-Wheel Wells
-On the inner door, very bottom where the skin folds over... rust hot spot
-Undercarriage/frame rails
-Any maintenance records, mileage proof?
-How many previous owners?
-Why do they sell a car - tired of fixing it?
-Any accidents, engine, transmission repair?
-Has the car passed last Emission Test?
-Engine leaks, anything out of the ordinary?
-Blue or black smoke from exhaust? (Indicates badly-worn engine)
- Is the engine dirty or oily?
-Smooth Idle, rev it and watch the rpm's. Smooth?
-Mileage? Car Parts and tune up history?
-Test Drive
-Does the car sit level?
-Does the car bounces too much when you push one of the corners down? (needs new shocks)
-Hard and slow braking, any chattering?
-Accelerate, smooth rpms? noises?
-Shift through every gear, accel and decelerating
- Any noises while driving?
-Any troubles changing gears?
-Is the clutch slipping?
-Any trouble to shift into reverse?
-Test ALL the electronics, press every single button etc to make sure
-Look at engine after test drive too!
-Interior, overall condition?
- Dampness under the carpet or in the trunk?
- Does the air conditioner provide really cold air?
-Are the power locks, windows, mirrors, sunroof, etc. working?
-Are the heater, rear window defogger working?
-Wind noise while driving?
-Any of warning lights come on while driving?
-Cigarette burn marks?
-Seat Rails and functions work?
-Tire tread
-How often was oil changed?
-How often was the car "tuned up"?
-Paint- faded? Overspray? bubbling? etc
-Exhaust, smoke? what color?
-Doors- rust inside the jams?
-Hinges work?- trunk, doors, hood, etc
-Remove the radiator cap and start the engine from cold. Look out for air bubbles surfacing in the water, which could indicate a defective head gasket. A coating of oil or sludge on the inside of the radiator cap is also very bad.
