Can you.......?
Im wondering if I can put a cat-back thats intended for use on engines with a turbo on an engine without one? Please respond. Dont tell me to go look for the answer, i already did, and i couldnt find it.

yes u can, most turbo cat-backs are 3" or bigger.(Apex N1 is a common 3" cat back people get)
You really should of searched, there may not be a direct answer for the question but the info is out there.

BTW do u even have a 240? (or a car at all?)

i see that your interested in learning but the best way to learn, is to RESEARCH and READ. Theres many sites accross the web that will give ALOT of info about the 240sx. Instead of asking questions that really dont make sense rite now, try finding out info on your own.
Thats the best peice of advice i can give you. Im young too but ive been working on cars and researching the 240 for many years thats how i know all that i know.

^^^yup... read and research, i did it enough, and now i can answer questions that people have without even having the car...
yea, most FI applications use a 3inch+ pipe, until you actually turbo the car, it will probably lose some power. for N/A on a 4 banger, its recommended to use no bigger than a 2.5inch exhaust... has to do with exhaust scavenging, and flow rate. You can search on that one.

for 240sx's a catback attaches to the back of the cat (sounds retarded). It doesn't reach the turbo/NA header, so it's the same mounting. You'll be able to run a turbo catback on a non-turbo, and vice versa. Problems arise due to pipe sizing, as mentioned above.
