Car won't start

Ok well i am in the process of buying a 1993 240 coupe and yesterday it just died. it didn't have a battery, and i had my battery from my wrx in it. It started, and drove fine, and i rolled down the windows, and all of a sudden from an idle it just sputtered and died out, and would start again. Now i can't get the key out, or lowert the headlights or roll up the windows?? If anyone has any advise let me know, i don';t wanna buy a car that i have to dump money into.....well right away.........

cant get the key out....just throwing this out there but did you hit the key release button? Try jiggling the steering wheel too, mine likes to stick in there

Is this an automatic? If the key won't come out pop the piece of plastic off from around the ignition and there is an emergency release lever. But yeah, you need to push in the button and jiggle the wheel like loser kid said. The rest sounds like a bad alternator, although I cant see everything dying that fast.

I had the problem with the key. When I first got the car one of the battery cables was loose and would slip off at random, in the middle of traffic, etc. I fixed that problem fast but whenever this would happen the key would be stuck in the ignition so I think this has something to do with the power loss. The pressing of the button, none of this would release it. Just put another battery on, get power and you should get your key back.

Make sure the alternator is the problem first. Get it running and use a multitester to see what it's charging at, because it sounds like it died very quickly.
