Cheaper swap?

Cheaper swap?
What would be the best idea.
Buying a Zenki and converting the headlights to kouki or just buying a the real kouki.
Also, Is a Zenki or kouki easier to convert to an S15 front end?
I also plan on doing either an rb25 or 6 swap eventually. I read it was pretty straight forward. Just needing mounts and a crossmemeber? alot of shops charge upwards of 8k for a 25 swap. But i found engines for around 2,400. Is labor really that expensive?
Im deciding if i want to keep my s13 and put an sr20 in it to keep the weight pretty even and use that as a drift. Then get the rb25 in the s14 and make it a drag monster.
Any thoughts, comments, death threats?

go all out and get a kouki because its going to be a newer car anyway. if you are looking to convert it to a s15 front end it really wont matter. you will be repalcing the same parts on both modles.

you might as well look for a 95 obdI/asf and al least have a chance to pass emmissions testing if you plan to swap out your engine. it's going to cost around 2K or so including paint and fitment so i say get the older one and convert it.

and the kouki chassis will be alot "fresher"...i dont kno much about drag...but...its probably not as important to have a stiff chassis...and power is more important than suspension...so if that true i would get a zenki

Suspension actually has alot to do with drag racing, what good is all that power if you cant hold it to the road? : )
I was thinking of getting the Zenki, jsut because its cheaper now, i can make it fast sooner, then do a front end conversion later on.
I may just skip teh kouki and go straight for the s15 front end. because well, Damn its sexeh! ^_^

na, you need a good stiff suspension, but how stiff depends on how much tq you have. if its to stiff, you floor it and the rear end sinks to the ground. to stiff you just spin your tires.
But I think it may be best to just go with the Zenki for now, and do a s15 conversion later down the road.
I am still debating on either the SR20 or the RB25.
I know that straight 6's have massive amounts of tq. I have a 65 mustang with a straight in it, and it can take just about anything off the line, but the tranny and rear end suck, so I dont have much top end.
So im still stuck on it though. I hear the sr20 has **** loads of after market support, and alot of potential, but 2 extra cylinders and half liter more displacement can go aloooong way.
