A few quesions...

Hello, I am new to the forum and am thinking about getting a 240, but have a few questions that hopefully someone can answer.

1. I was thinking about getting a 95 to 98 model with a 5 speed and was wondering first of all how reliable they are. Im not planning on doing any major modifications. I currently drive an 88 fiero gt that im selling and it is a huge money pit and I am hoping to get away from that. Are there any common problems that they have that I should look out for?

2. What kind of performance do they have? Like 0-60 and 1/4 times. Also how is the suspension stock? Ive heard that they handle very well. Does it have an IRS? LSD? Im hoping to have a car that handles as well or better than my fiero.

3. What kind of gas milage do you commonly get?

Thanks in advance for any help any of you can offer.

try an internet search...most of the awnsers you seek are out there

"Are there any common problems that they have that I should look out for?"

"What kind of performance do they have"
doa search- www.carreview.com

"Does it have an IRS? LSD?"

gas mileage is directly related to ambient temperature and state of tune

1. No major problems if maintained well. Definitely more reliable than a fiero gt.

2. Depends on car. 0-60 in around 7.5-8 seconds. I think a 16 sec 1/4.
Some cars have VSLD. They usually came along with an upgraded package with ABS.

3. I usually get around 25 mpg in a combination of local and highway driving.

1. 95-98 only problem I see is they are becoming rare.

2. The suspension on a stock 95 should still be in pretty good shape and a lot of fun. Their potential is absurd.

They all have an Independant Rear Suspension. All of those arms can be upgraded for adjustability and stiffening.

Be prepared to search for a VLSD in the junkyards or ebay. They are a rare option on the S14. LSDs are also a great option as well.

3. I own a 93 so I really can't help you there except to say I have a heavy foot and a noisy LSD which I like to hear so I plant the gas every chance I get. I walk away with 20mpg if I am lucky.

Welcome to the site.
