few quick questions

I'm just wondering how hard it is to upgrade to power windows and mirrors. Also is there anyway to tell if a sunroof is factory or aftermarket?

Well, the upgrade to power windows and mirrors is not hard my friend. You pretty much could go to a salvage yard and pick the parts you need and put them. Of course you might need the FSM for parts location. Wiring might be a ***** but you always refer to guess what? Your FSM.
And for your sunroof, thats some custom stuff man, there will be cutting and welding. Too much if you ask me, its just one more electrical problem that could go wrong. I dont know of anyone who has done this though.

power windows and mirrors is cake as long as you follow these simple rules. get all the parts and DONT CUT WIRES! if you follow the wires far enough you'll find a connector that will plug into your cars harness. and like dude said your FSM is your friend if you dont have one download one here http://www.zeroyon.com/index/content/view/24/47/

if you've seen a factory part on another s13 (asuming that what you've got) jdm or not it will simply plug and play in your s13 with all the proper parts all it takes is a lil mechanical skill TIME and your FSM

as for tellin if the sunroof is factory or not whats it look like hows it work? does the inside look factory? is it a coupe or hatch? if you have pic's that'll help

i have a 91 with power windows and mirrors so getting the parts is easy. does it matter if the engine harness is for a sohc or dohc?

as far as the sunroof goes my sunroof looks nothing like the one from the 91. did they change the sunroof when they changed the motor? i'll post pics in a little bit.

if you notice there is duct tape covering a hole in it. it's kind of like a helicoil in a way. i'm not sure how to explain it. if you want i can take a picture of it a litle bit later.

i see what your sayin its one of those tabs that hold the hinge to the glass itself. im sure you could get somthing like that from maybe a automotive glass place? maybe a wrecking yard would have sumthing simular from another sunroof or maybe a side rear window that opens in a simular fashion.
and if not maybe a place online that has differnt kinds of fasteners and such?
