Question few quick questions

alrighty i'm looking into getting my ka24de rebuilt and this place i called said it would be between 4-5k. they are going to port/polish, bore out the block, and upgrade all internals. would you say this is a good price?

my second question is i have an 89 240 manual that this engine will be going into. my ka24de is a 91 with auto tranny. i know i have to use the harness from the de for the swap but what about the subharness for the tranny? will the ecu for my 91 be able to work with a manual tranny? i already know about the thread on zilvia that tells you how to swap a ka24de into a ka24e if that helps.

please any help or responses would be greatly appreciated

price sounds pretty good, description was pretty general though. Im not certain, but i thought you used both harnesses upper and lower from the de. i know that you can use a auto ecu on a manual and it will work fine

Well they are going to be upgrading all internals so if i ever wanted to go turbo i could without worry. that's a long way awayz though. i don't really know about ordering one from somewhere. i kind of like the piece of mind knowing my baby's heart is being worked on right down the road, so if i wanted to stop by or something i could. plus if anything messes up i can take my car to them and have them fix it instead of playing phone tag for months.
