GTO steering column bushing: before and after videos

So I installed the aluminum bushing in the steering column in place of the oem rubber. Before I took the column out and apart I video taped it and moved the column around to show the type of flex the bushing was allowing.

I finally put the new steering rack back in (non HICAS ) and connected the column back up.

I haven't driven the car obviously, but I tried to move the column around like before. Significantly less flex as expected. The videos are good for reference.

I'm really glad I went through the headache of putting it in. I now know that area of the car quite well.

Hope my videos are useful.

Enjoy.
