Angry has anyone ever had this problem???

some of you know already that i have been doing a na ka build up for my 93 nissan 240... the motor was finished and it ran great... with the exception of the timing being off a little... i fixed the timing was set at about 23 degrees advanced... set it back to stock and it ran great after that...

while driving down the road a few nights ago the car sputtered twice and died... i thought it was the battery or starter and neither was the case...

so i thought there might be a problem inside of the motor... took off the valve cover cams and uppet timing chain cover... the first thing i noticed was that the lower timing chain tensioner was not touching the chain... it was stuck completly open... then i turned the motor a few times by hand and noticed that the timing chain was off 2 teeth and that the right plastic guide was missing about the top inch and a half...just above the top allen bolt that holds it in place... the guides chain and gears were new... but i did not replace the tensioners...

i was just wondering if anyone had this problem or if it is a freak of my motor...

here is the list of what has been done to my motor... about half way down...
