Hey! Looking for some advice.

Hey guys. I have an 89 240sx, and wanted some advice/opinions.

I live in Canada, so as you know our cars up here get rusty pretty quickly. My 240sx is mint, and i'd like to keep it that way for the next couple of years.

Anyways, here are my questions. I'm looking to spend about $1000 on mods. I had two options in mind:

Buy a head unit, front speakers and amp (two front speakers blown out). Maybe some subs if money is left over.

or

Buy either coilovers/springs, exhaust, and oem speakers from a junkyard. (With this path, I'd buy a winter beater as well).

I'm also going to be adding the 7-spoke wheels, because I love the look .

Which do you think is the better route to go? Ultimately, the decision lies in my hands, but I'd like to hear what you guys have to say.

This site is the bomb, keep up the good work!

You have $1000 ? good. heres what you can do

1. Eibach sportline lowering springs > $200.00
2. Intake + M.A.F. > $30.00
3. Exhaust (any) > about $50.00
4. Front and Rear Strut Bars > $40.00
5. CD/MP3 Player > $180.00
6. 4x6 Speakers. 2 front. 2 rear.> $50.00 each x 4 > $200.00
7. Spolier (any type) > about $100.00
8. Window Tint > about $150.00

Do that.. and you will have a s w e e t 2 4 0 plus about $50 in your pocket

Driften, I hope you were being sarcastic

Could you recommend a good, but not very loud exhaust?

neeh. actually i was for real. i know. it sounds crazy.. but whata hell.

you want a good but not too loud exhaust. hmm. lets me see.
to tell you the truth all the exhausts sound about the same because of the massive 2.4 L DOHC truck engine.

they all sound deep, not loud... but good.

check ebay. you can find a muffler for like $40 now.

gotta remember that's JUST muffler, so you may need to give up some cash to install if you can't do it yourself...

then again i may be wrong. also on tints, make sure you go to a GOOD place. don't get the purple stuff with bubbles.

get your basic intake headers and exhaust...and try to find some lowering springs.

that or just get coilovers and an intake or something if you got change left over....

intakes are awesome i love the growl it gives the engine
