from what i know only 91-93 SE model s13's came with hicas...another way to know if look for a rack & pinion out back, or look on the console for a HICAS warning light should be on the right hand side of the steering wheel...BTW Why do you want HICAS!!!??? its crap its weight, its stupid if your doing an sr swap like myself, iam using my power steering pump to pump fluid out the the hicas instead of my power steering...just be glad you dont have it, the up part of having my car hicas equiped is that it came with LSD yay!!

Wow, that hurt my feelings, I have Hicus

Yeah it's a pain when you have to do a SR cause you'll have to find a sr w/ hicus or change out your subframe. Well I'm not 100% sure on the subframe but it's a pain. You can tell if you have Hicus either w/ the light next the the rear wipers buttons or like what Joanas said.

But I have LSD hehe.

you don't need a special SR when you have a HICAS equipped 240. you can either buy a SR and not hook up the HICAS or you can buy an SR HICAS PS pump from heavythrottle.com. they usually have some available. you do not have to change out the subframe.

there is no rack and pinion out back. the HICAS used on our cars has a piston that pushes the tie rod on each side. the rear wheels only turn 1 degree. there was a later generation of HICAS that did use a rear rack and pinion. it was only available on skyline GTRs.

dude 1 degree?? ive heard it turning atleast 3 degrees?? another questions... if iam not sending any ps fluid out to the hicas whats going to happen?? because right now i have the ps going out to the hicas because i was worried they might turn on their own while iam driving a straight line or so...so iam sacrificing my p.s as it is going to the hicas, problem soon to be solved though once i get this hicas pump in..
