My hatred isn't for 3" pipe it's about the idiots that buy 3" pipe, and don't know jack about power bands, and degredation for Natural Aspiration. Exhaust piping doesn't add CHP, it only shifts the power band one way towards torque, or the other way towards HP. The goal to the proper exhaust is to have a smooth upward power band of HP/Torque.
The fact is what it comes down to, shure remove all the torque you want,"Believe those BOGUS HP numbers", then all your left with is a torqueless piece of CRAP. Understand flow numbers and get back to me. Infact put up the dyno sheet with the fine print and I will rub it in your face where the FAKE crap comes from.
You havent proven anything, NOT even the DYNO chart from SCC. If so I will show you where the fake numbers come from and laugh.
Sounds like you should go to a technical institute, or work at a reputable performance shop that laughs at the 3" exhaust for N/A.
Man I wish Initial D. would get his *** in here to set the record straight for you a second time. You must be a youngster that needs to be told twice.

Great.

For someone who claims to be such an expert, you seem to have nothing to back you up.

I appreciate the personal attacks, though. Thanks a ton for that. Still not really a substitute for any shred of evidence on your side, especially when you're wrong.

Up-sized exhausts can create hp AND torque increases through the entire power band when replacing restrictive stock exhaust systems. How is that merely a shift in the power band if the new power band does not intersect with the old?

From a mustang, but illustrates the point well enough to dismiss your whole 'shifting' theory. There are more such examples at : http://www.pypesexhaust.com/dynotests.html .

You're an awfully pretentious ***** for someone who doesn't seem to know his *** from his elbow.

A mustang is a V8 with 4.6litre displacement, jackass. I'm talking about a 4 banger 2.4 litre.
There isn't enough displacement, compression or REV in the KA to use 3" pipe, your point isn't valid at all.
Please go to school so you can bring positive rienforcement.
I wan't that KA DYNO result...........

Edit: Mustang is running dual exhaust. Consider it two 2.3 liter banks of 4 cylinders.... but an expert such as yourself probably already knew that.

How do you figure Initial Daniel owned me?

We were saying the same thing, you just don't seem to know enough to understand that.

As a matter of fact, he seemed to be saying a lot of stuff from the Myth of Backpressure sticky, WHICH I WROTE.

A mustang creates it's power per piston in 1/8 of it's stroking potential. Break it down into per 8 pistons. In NO way can you use the stroking potential of 1/4 the power created per piston of the KA it's a 4banger it's that simple.
Secondly Initial D. was clearing up the facts. Even recomended that 2.25" is probably more necessarry. For an N/A KA, he wasn't agreeing with you at all, which you infact think 3" is better, sorry to say.
Stop having a BIG HEAD just because you got a sticky, it still doesn't mean you know jack from the day you started that sticky.

I probably get more ***** than you, your own ignorance just went off the topic of your thread.
Name calling doesn't get you no where OH yeah and where is that dyno result I asked for, any proof yet?
The bottom disclaimer will state a TEST pipe was used, NOT A CAT. So where is the DYNO?.

Your reading comprehension is top notch.

You may want to decide where you stand before digging yourself deeper, because you used my sticky as a reference the last time you decided to have a pissing contest with yourself.
