Looking at buying a 1991 240sx!

Hi everyone

I'm new to this site. This is my first post. I have been looking for a car that meets my budget but has decent performance and room for mods. I have $5000cdn MAX to get a car. I have been looking at everything from Ford probe gts to sunfire asunas. I just recently started to research the 240sx and it seems like my best bet at the moment. I checked out a 1991 hatchback, good condition, yesterday and the price seems decent..just under my budget. It has 205,000kms and the guy has owned it since 1992. Nice red color....quite a bit of rust under the spoiler :s. The guy selling is getting the heater fixed as of now because he said it had broken. Other then that it seems really nice, comfortable. (I'm 6'2) The car just has a good feeling to it all round. What do you guys think? Any info is much appreciated!. Thx

Matt

Sounds like it's a pretty good buy, have taken it for a test drive? Welcome to the forums

He is asking $4700 obo. Remember this is Canadian. It's a really clean car. Engine sounds good. I'm going to test drive it later today.

That is a little less than $4000 USD. That to me is a lot for a 91. I haven't bought one myself but I know a few that have in different states and they have paid less than $1000 for theres and they are in good condition, some were even 93s. You could get a S14 for that.

I would keep looking

There aren't alot of 240s here and this is actually the least expensive one for sale right now as far as I know. I know cars are cheaper in the US. I live on an island also which doesn't help!.

like yousaid, there aren't a lot of them. It all comes down to, do you really want the car and willing to pay that price for the car.
