you can take the aiv apart and clean it out or remove. if you remove it you'll need to block off the vacuum lines to it, the hole on the down pipe, and disconnect the solenoid.
Nope. I dont even think it will throw a CEL if you just cap it off at the valve, not sure though. A lot of people take it off because it fails and doesnt really do much for emissions.
i've go the whole aiv system out, i decided to weld the hole shut with a nickel. what do i do with the solenoid, and the vacuum hoses that run to it. can i just trace those lines back to thier origin and hook them together??
