How can I tell what engine is in my 91 240sx/mt.

well plenty of ways...post a pic, take your valve cover off and look to see how many cams you have, tell us the location of your spark plugs (are they are the top of the valve cover?)

did you look at the plate mounted to the firewall?

if your car has a stock engine/tranny then that code will tell you.

if its a 91 with regular engine its the KA24DE, if its swapped it could be numerous engines

Well I now have information about my car in 2 different places please see this other thread I have and it will explain a little more of my confusion on my engine.

well my best guess is that its still the KA24DE considering that the 240sx stock motor is actually a truck motor. Just snap a pick of it and post it up here or find picture of the KA24DE on google and compare the two...
