I have a 93 240sx which is automatic (soon manual) that has been having some problemes. Everything right now is stock on the car. It had been running great until it started jerking hard everytime I stop. THe car turns on normally and runs normally, however, as soon as I stop the jerking begins. I've also noticed that the exhaust coughs a lot when the car is on. It is not a smooth release of fumes but very abrupt.
If someone knows anything about this problem or has any lead I would be very thankful.

 

Could you describe this a little more? Is it just the engine that's jerking around, or the car itself is actually lurching forward when you are at a stop........

 

it is actually the car jerkiing whenever i stop while the car is still on.
