question about buying

well i have been looking over a whole bunch of different cars, and i landed on a '98 240sx because of its lower price and good looks.

before i go and purchase one, are there any things i should look out for that go wrong in a 240?

oh, btw here are the pics (autotrader)

All stock, 1998 240sx, 43,000. $ 10,998 (negotiable)

well if it is an automatic, can't i pay to swap the transmission out and get a manual? or would that be extremely expensive

also if i save up a bit more, i could put a sr20det in....

I'd be all over that, and a lot of people do the auto-->manual swap. I've heard its not that costly (like $500 I think), or if you plan on doing an engine swap, just wait till your ready to do that and switch everything up at once

Oh and welcome to the forums

Usually if you get a front clip it will have pretty much everything you need to convert your car to manual
