you can not get a Silvia legalized unless it goes through crash testing at your own expense. then through EPA, DOT, etc. Motorex did all that with the Skylines and that is why they cost soooo much...but they are legal. you can get them imported for less than what people have stated but under the show/race only thing. i have found a place that can get Skylines for any make and prices around 5-25g's depending on which one. then the Silvias at around 3-15g's again depending on which one. by all means i think that getting a Silvia then driving it around would be alight. serious does a cop really know that your car is from japan when it looks exactly the same as the domestics?

we canadians have no emissions laws except in BC. I can do anythink i want to a car as long as it will pas a mechanical inspection. (just to make sure the frame is sturdy and it will not blow up on the highway )

Any car that is 15+ years old is legal to drive on candian road as long as you have valid insurance. there is no need for all the crash testing motorex did and i can get a R32 GTR for about 22G's CDN or 15's american

Hyjynx- the only problem with canada is that it is nearly impossible to find engines and performace parts in Canada that you don't pay out the as.s for

there is a border tax on all automative parts plus i gotta pay tax and convert USD to CDN (Good old Bush makin it easier on me). shipping on a front clip from LA is close to 1000 USD

PS hyjynx if you ever move to canada move to alberta. i'm 17 and has a job paying 15.00/hour min wage is 5.90 but only mcdonalds pays that
