besides the hicas in the S13 is kinda funky and peaple complain about it acting funny. spastic
mine didnt come equipped so who am i?
We spoke about self correcting systems in other pieces of equipment over dinner Friday after screwing around at E-Town.

I mentioned that we have Mark Lifts at work that auto correct for balance. I hate them. They pivot trying to correct for balance and smack into structures. I would rather a system that warns for problems that way the user can correct.

nice thought. but we all know a very large majority of drivers olny drean of being Derek Bell or Dale Jr.
a systenm like that would probaly have more people crashing cuz they were lookin to see if there was a pitch/yaw angle problem!

it would be nice though. epecially if there was enough advanced warning

Yes, but you will need the Hicas p/s pump. I'm pretty sure that the Hicas system has its own electronic control unit behind one of the rear pillar trim panels - so you shouldn't need the motor ECU from a HICAS SR20 car.

I'm not sure if the KA hicas pump will bolt on the the SR. You may possibly need the pump from a JDM Hicas SR car. Yury or Jeff at heavythrottle.com would nail this answer in half a breath.

ooohh. ok. i was wondering if hicas would affect a drift. my friend has a 240 with hicas, and now we know he wont be able to drift it easily, or i should say well. i heard that the hicas system in the r32 doesnt kick in until 80 km/h. is that the same with the 240 hicas system?

Sorry to bring a dead thread back to life, but i got a question..

i got a 89 S13 9 yea, thats right pig nose )

And im currently lookin at a 91-93 ( not sure of the year yet ) Hicas HB

would it be posable just to rip out the hicas computer and Subframe and slap the Fixed subframe from the Standard HB into it without any Sideeffects? ( the Led would be taken out of the dash ofcorse )

thats what I was thinking since the computer isn't powered. I just want to be sure if the rear wheels won't move by them selve and I needed some kind of lock.

AFAIK, there is a lock in the Steering ram... from what i know, when you're hicas starts to crab walk, you need to disconnect the battery for 45mins, then you jack up the *** end and push the wheels untill they "click"

i would be guessing thats a locking device considering you usually Cant Move it After that.
Edit: Manually, anyway.
