hmm so i got my first speeding ticket yesterday and any outcome scenario is gonna be really messed up and gonna mess up my life for the next 2-3 years
first off before you flame me i kno i was stupid and i wasnt paying attention. ive reflected and if u wanna flame be my guest but i kno wat ive done and im stupid stupid stupid

so i had a girl in my car (tryin to date her) and her friend int he back seat, we were kinda late and i was taking them back home on the highway so i knew i was speeding a lil. then i guess i just wasnt paying attention to how fast i was going nor how much i was accelerating and the next thing i kno i was looking in my rear view mirror and all i see is blue lights -_-

the girl was sleeping and woke up to me cussing my head off...nice huh?

officer pulled me over, apparently i was going 94 in a 65 (insert flames here)

so it was actually 2 tickets...speeding and reckless endangerment
(more flames)
my mom talked to a cop friend and gonna call lawyers and stuff
heres the scenarios:
i lose my license till im 18
i get dropped from insurance
i keep my insurance and it goes up ALOT depending on if i can get the speeding ticket dropped. if i can get the speeding ticket best case scenario 2-4x increase...if i have to keep both 4-5x increase

i hope i can at least get the speeding ticket dropped and take the driving course

so any scenario is gonna cost alot of money due to lawyer fee's and court fee's and insurance fee's

damn son, i just got my lic back. i was clocked at 125 past the cops in my sohc 240( no longer sohc) i got a 275 dollar ticket. im going to court though

ps i was alone and it was 3am with no traffic trying to get back to college

if this is ur first offence they usually will drop some of it. but i dont know how ur state works with new driver. Here in MD u are on probation for 8 mo then u get regular lic
if u violate any time befor the 8 mo u have to start over. just tell the judge the girl was on her period and bleeding all in ur car that u just shampooed. tell them something man. the MVA system is set up to protect people but they also rob the sh*t out of people to.

yeah... I was driving over here and it was a 70mph zone, and traffic was going like 90..I looked down and was like s**t i'm going 100mph... but I was going with traffic.. too bad there were no cars around... I got an ticket for 84 in a 60... and it didn't effect my insurance at all...I was 17 at the time.

 

dang dude that's really rough, but atleast you didn't get into an accident and get your passengers killed. Driving improvement is the way to go man. My friends who've been unlucky enough to get pulled over all took the course and nothin was added to their records or insurance and it was their first offence as well so I wouldn't sweat it too much.

You didn't ruin any "YEARS" of your life. You sound like a f'ing retard who thinks they're going to dye. Everything will be alright...trust me.

I got 4 tickets in my first year of driving, not to mention MANY fix-it tickets. 2 speeding. One driving after curfew, and one driving with passengers on a provisional licence. I kept my licence, and no insurance increase.

So LISTEN UP.

First. Get a decent lawer. NOT a SUPER expensive one(cause you didnt kill anyone).Mine cost 250 per offence. So that would be 500 bucks in your case.

Tell the lawer you want to plead GUILTY to the speeding ticket, as long as the judge will dismiss the REDICULOUS reckless endangerment charge. If your lawer knows anything about anything he can have that taken care of EASILY. AND he'll be happy to do it because it only takes him 5 min. in front of the judge, and a guilty plea instead of having to fight both cases separatly.

The judge will be MORE than willing to do that because 1. it is your first offence, and 2. they would rather be guaranteed the money from the one ticket, than maybee having BOTH of them beat. It also saves the gov. money because they don't have to pay the cop and judge to show up to fight against you in court.

Make sence???? Your life will be fine, AND you should have no insurance increase at all.

This is so because you are only pleading guilty to ONE speading ticket, which you can go to traffic school for(tell your lawer you want t. school) and it will dismiss the ticket from insurance.

Last of all- i'm not a lawer and this is just my opinion. I've been there, done that, so i'm just trying to help from PERSONAL experience.

eh i was just going based off what our cop friend told us...so hopefully this will work out ok -_- but right now its not looking pretty

 

I got 2 speeding tickets in a week : \ One was 180$ other was 267$ I got them just after i got my exhaust put on, >_< I wasnt used to the loudness and it very much attracted cops.

 

Think of it this way, it 's better to learn by getting a ticket than by smashing head on into an overpass embankment.

Just don't do anything stupid like that again.

im glad this happened to you, why? your carelessness of paying attention to how fast you were going in a certain mph zone alogn with being careful of the passengers you were driving is why im glad you got it. i hope they take your license away until your 21 so we can get these type of people off the roads. this is a very good lesson and hopefully you'll be more mature about it later. no wonder insurance is so high for kids your age, theres plenty of stupid kids like you doing **** like this that **** it over for other kids.

94 in a 65? c'mon were you thinking? you are suppose to be paying attention to how fast you are going at all times. i dont care how late you are. hell i dont even go 94 on the freeway, hell i dont even go 85.

havent you learned from other people? you going 94 vs somebody going 80mph, you'll only save 1-2 mins. your already late, what does 1-2 mins do? nothing.

give up on the lawyer thing, you deserved this.
