Question SR20DET or RB20DET

i am given the option to choose between the SR20DET and RB20DET. dont know anything about rb20 but i heared u can get more power out of it.. but its not as strong as sr20...

the difference in price iz about $200.

so which one do you think is better and why

You can count on Hyjynx voting for the RB, lol. As for me, I'd say the RB too. Can't say no to those extra two cylinders. You'd prob pump more out of it than the SR. For $200 you'd be getting a monster engine. I'd say go for it.

ummm...u also gotta remember with rb u dont get AC...and parts are alot harder to find...plus with a sr if u get ure hood popped the cop may still think its stock...not with a rb...

i choose rb thou

I say go with an rb20det but if u want to be able go to the parts store and buy replacment parts for it get a ca18det, I am just sick of the sr20det.

Arc is right, RB20 all the way.

SR20 and CA18 have a lot more parts out there that are easier to get.

well lets say i got the rb.. and i gotta change oil. i know they wont be sellin the oilfilters at pepboys.. so were can i get parts for rb?

I forgot what oil filter can be used from the US for a RB20...but if you search around for a interchangeability(sp?) chart(I know it's around here) you will find your answer.
