I know it was a joke, but it tripped me out for a moment, good laugh. I say if it makes no noise than sweet, you don't have to replace it.

I guess so. I hope i want be hearing anything soon, because that how stuff sometimes works with a 10 year old car.

I've removed the timing chain guides and the ticking went away. I think the timing chain may be getting too loose in my engine now and should be replaced soonish. 140K's...makes a little bit of a tick from the chain when it's cold in the morning, not sure it if it's anything to be worried about.
