Trans. Noise

I have a 93 240SX SE with just under 80K on the motor. Whenever I take it above 5000 RPM's there is a whirring noise from the gearbox. Is this normal or something I should worry about?

Haha, the sound may, but if there is a problem, I'm sure it will come back and let its presence be known. Does anyone else other than SlickSX and I have this noise?

No, I've had that happen in my Camaro, and it causes a horrible squeal. This is just a whine at high rpms.

replace the pilot bearing/bushing, the parts really cheap but the labor is a *****.
