I just bought my 240 and will be getting it shipped to me in the next couple of weeks or so.It is completely stock with 80,000miles on it. I plan on putting a turbo on the ka and not doing the swap. I figure 80,000 is still a good amount of miles not to do a swap. I am only gonna have about $500 to spend at first.
What should I buy. and what can I buy that I won't have to replace when I get a turbo. I was thinking exhaust but if I get 3" exhaust which would be great for a turbo will I lose power before I get a turbo? Give me some suggestions. Not concerned about looks. Just performance.

 

3" exhaust doesnt hurt the N/A KA that badly, you will lose a little low end power but make it up in the high end.You can go for a intake as well.

 

you could always work around your suspensions, new struts, coilovers, etc etc, you wont need to replace them once you put in a turbo and your ride will be alot sturdier and you alot more comfy

 

u can also consider a higher flowing fuel pump (255 lph) and maybe upgrading ur brakes (ss lines, better pads, Brembo rotors). that should serve u well in both N/A and turbo applications.

 

What intake do you suggest? Because I plan on getting custom exhaust so I could probably afford both. Also is will I be able to afford a good set of shocks and springs for around $500? I am looking to drop around 2". I will spend a little more if I have to. With 3" wouldn't I want a 3" inlet on my muffler? I never see any bigger than 2.5.

 

Have ya checked ebay for 3" inlet mufflers? For intake...I would go this route. First buy a ebay intake, like 30-40 bucks. Toss the filter out when you get it, then go buy yourself a K&N filter or something like that. Works just fine! As for the shocks ad springs around 500...nope. Maybe a little more then 500
