Is it like a scrapping noise, or a rattling noise. also does it sound metallic like two pieces of metal hitting. Is the car a stick or automatic if stick does it go away when you step on the clutch get worse or no change at all.

When the last time you changed the fluid, Or even checked it. Make sure the fluid isnt low anf if its not have the tranny fluid changed. If you have a shop do it, tell them to save your old fluid and watch them do it, Tranny shops are known to give you back someones tore up *** fluid and say you need a rebuild. There should be a couple small pieces of metal meaning normal wear, but if theres alot of small pieces or large shavings you have a problem. Also isnt your car new and under warranty.

Nah, If its under warranty take it back to the dealer. You dont want the Big O Tires flunky to screw up and the dealer wont replace the tranny (if need be).
