WOW megan racing can go and die
who double posted? I hope it wasn't me, if it was, I don't think I meant to, I mean.. i've been here awhile, I know what's going down.. lol.. but yeah... I think the original poster needs to check up on this, comment, or at least keep us up to date before I, or someone else, tries buying something else from them.
I'm getting Eibach Pro-kits after I get my wheels.. I don't want to spend $800 something I can spend $350-$400 on instead. I'm not too picky anyway. As long as it drops the car a bit. I've never heard anyone complain about their Eibachs.
i just dont understand why sales reps dont tell customers the truth. if the item is out of stock and going to take 3+ weeks, just say so. i hate it when they say a couple of days and next thing you know it turns into weeks. the reason they do that is because they're afraid to lose a sale. if the customer really wants that item, then they'll wait. or in other situations (like having to repair your car asap) i'm sure people will look elsewhere.

It has been discussed numerous times in Zilvia, Nico and fresh alloy that Megan does NOT get subcontracted parts from APEXi. Most shells or strut housings you see come from a single manufacturer. All internal parts of the Megan are nothing compared to APEXi. Just to let you know as a refrence from now on I called APEX in Cali and asked them if they had distributed any parts or components to use for the Megan racing line of struts and coilovers. The rep on the phone laughed and said that they do not do business with megan in any possible way what so ever. This Myth really needs to stop, it is getting very annoying. Some people have even implied that Megan is a sister company to APEXi this myth needs to stop also it is all a load of crap. If you think that there strut bars, and coilovers are made of good quality.........LOL I really don't know what to tell you from here on out. After all Megan started from Korean and Chinese EBAY stores so what does that tell you about there product production wise......
Plain and simple its CCCCCRRRRAAAAPP.........
Okay, like dc2chris and Raine said, the quailty of their products are very decent and acceptable for what they cost. I don't expect anything more than what i'm paying for. I know that if I buy their coilovers, they're not going to be the any better quailty than $900. I don't expect them to hold up, or last as long as say, HKS coilovers, that cost around $1800.. I've just heard good things about their coilovers, and have seen serveral others of their products perform quite well...
I forgot to mention the bar he was standing on, was a lower tie bar that goes under the engine bay, in his Integra... So it's was significantly shorter than a strut bar that goes across the engine bay. But for the price he paid, they were very good quality I thought...
Now, most anyone that has bought their products would agree, I think... not that it's "top of the line" stuff, but it's decent... How exactly do you (BigVinnie) know that it's "CCCCCRRRRAAAAPP". I would like to know what you acually tested, or saw that would bring you do that conclusion. Not just the fact that they didn't have the best start, but are now doing fairly well starting as an Ebay company.
As far as the APEX-I stuff I said. I shouldn't have said it like that. I had seen a post on Nico about MR coilovers, and someone stating that he had bought them, and compared them to his friends APEX-I coilovers, and they looked extremely similiar, and something about the product numbers matching up. Now, I don't know if that's true, which, now it seems not to be. So sorry I bought that up without doing more research..
So in a way, I guess it's a risk buying from any less known company. But i'm willing to take that risk, and will see how it works out. And report how things work out. I know my exhaust so far hasn't had any problems, but then again, it's just an exhaust.

Question is how old are you?????
I'm 26 going on 27 and I have been building performance cars as a hobby since I was 19. I have loads of friends that have bought the coil overs, we were all amazed at how well the Megans first handled but the quality of the dampeners suffer extremely bad and only lasted from 6 months to a year. Megan quality is not realiable, or dependable, you get what you pay for. If you pay top dollar for top of the line Megan don't expect it to last long compared to a good pair of APEXI's,KYB's, TEIN, JIC's, tokico or Billstien.
Megan has only been producing products for about the last 15years, and there name finally just came out of NO where due to there marketing strategies on EBAY.
Performance that is quality isn't cheap by any means and you defenitely dont find "Megan anything" at high end performance shops it just doesn't happen and high end shops sell top dollar equipment because it is reliable and they can back it up with no complaints.
So I give you my statement of CCCRAP because that is what it is. I use to be a youngster that use to think that performance can be affordable. Now it can be affordable, but the question you need to ask yourself is HOW RELIABLE is it really? So you really just spent alot of money on something that lasts half as long, it isn't dependable and in the long run you only spent more money.
This is coming from my years of experience dealing with Megan, and then the reliable more expensive products.
You know why I bought KYB AGX's and tien stech springs? Because it's a quality name and it will last longer than a set of ANY MEGAN coil overs sold at $500~$900. I could of easily spent the additional $100 on a cheap set of coil overs but the fact is it isn't reliable or dependable.

Sweetie you're going to have to upgrade your shocks with Prokits... not right up front, but eventually your OEM's will die sooner than usual. Sorry =p not being mean LOL
HOLSTER VINNIE HOLSTER!!! LOL
- BTW a little bit of trivia... Megan is a Chinese company. It's so far from "JDM" like people think it is...
...and I live what - 4 minutes away from Megan Racing? And I know a few people who work there? and I've been messing with cars since I first learned how to drive (elbow shot to Vinnie LOL)?
Sorry I'm bored... but it's true - all that A'pex-i and Megan rumors all come from the newbs who have no f'n clue what they're talking about. Maybe it's from Canadians (joke! lol).... I mean Canada just devour's boxloads of Megan stuff =P
[CANADIANS - IT'S FACT ABOUT THE "BOXLOADS" STUFF... THE REST IS A JOKE before you kill me kay]

That's what i'm saying though. You get what you pay for. I don't except anything more than what i'm paying for, in comparision to other products.. But you may have just changed my mind about their coilovers. I might have to with some Tein's like Raine here.
