There is another brand called D2, which was excellent for the price. One of those 2 is much better than the Megans.
too bad the D-specs arnt surrently available for the S13 chassis (according to their website)...and i personally would want ride height to be adjustable....but their not full coiovers or anything so they still are good for their price...kinda like the AGX with some lower srings?

Thats just according to there website.
I'd say the price is right, I mean your mostly paying for a reputable name. Yeah you may not get adjustable hiegth , but unlike AGX's with lowering springs, and a semi good dampener you get a much better dampener, and stronger spring rate. Anything under $700 for a reputable name isn't going to have all the features you want unless you spend atleast a $1000, thats just how the market place works with major competitors.
I think the tokicos are better than my kyb AGX/tein combo 3kg front/2kg rear isnt speaking too highly of the package I have already, I just know it will last long enough through the abuse I put it through.

Ran across some K-Sports for a VSpec and honestly, I don't like them. They look cheap up close (hey they look like gold Megans, come to think of it LOL) and they don't seem too trustworthy either as far as performance goes. Case in point - the rubber spring isolators aren't even the correct diameter/thickness; you can put the rubber isolator around the lower spring perch - but then the spring wouldn't sit properly because the rubber isolator was too thick. Likewise, if you put the rubber isolator inside the spring, then it will not sit flat on the lower spring perch.

Another thing that didn't strike me as good - the mount for the front brake line isn't even a mount - it's a flat piece of metal bar that you have to actually BEND INTO a brake line mount.

WTF?

Also, during the test drive, they felt soft even with the dampening up. I don't remember the actual rates I drove (it was a few weeks ago) but I do remember that I was expecting more until after I test drove the car.

Personally I'd pass on K-Sports. Who knows - maybe the KSports I saw were some random super unlucky set... but then again, first impressions do a lot sometimes.

I'm happy with my Teins.

Now then, since we've gotten way far OT and the original poster obviously just came to vent and leave as if I care (LOL), I'm closing this one =)
