I just got done doing mines with duel altima fans and a F.A.L thermo switch. All you need is the instructions from the thermo switch to do the install (super easy). Only hard part was cutting all the plastic around the fans.

very cool (no pun intended) mod/write up. It's hard to tell from the pic, but are the fans in front of radiator? are they pushing or pulling?
Thanks for the link

yes the fans are in front of the radiator they are push fans. there are quite a few reasons for using these fans. the main reason is that i already had them and didn't want to buy others. the a/c condenser was removed to allow the fans to be more efficient and allow the oncoming air flow to help cool the radiator also. by placing the fan in front of the radiator i used the fans as a guard against debris also.

could you do a write up on this

no offence to this DIY but its kind of a messy install and the fans dont look that great, im sure everything works but im looking to do it on my s14 and everything needs to be done right and look OEM

that's the adjustable temp switch. the temp probe is on the other side of the radiator under the upper radiator hose.

most likely that's not going to happen seeing as how he hasn't posted on here for some time now.

none taken, it is a bit messy because at the time i was rather pressed for time and was doing the write up because i was asked to by a few new members. now most of the wires and hoses are hidden quite nicely. as to the look well that's a matter of opinion. although you can't get much more oem than the original factory a/c condenser fans.

in an s14 doesnt the a/c fan run with engine temp as well?

if thats the case then couldnt you just use that to run the altima fans?
that would eliminate having to get fan controllers or temp sensors, an alot of wiring.
an if your like me you can make your own "y" harness complete with plugs to jus plug in both fans to that one plug

or would this idea fail horribly an i blow up my engine from overheating on a mildly warm day?..
