3000 RPM idle...HELP!!!!
The Air Flow Meter went bad on my 92 240,100% stock...replaced the AFM and now it runs great but idles very fast...I havnt yet tried to adjust the set screw in the IACV valve, because I cant understand why it would suddenly be out of adjustment, when no one has messed with it... ..any help/suggestions is appreciated....

if the mas/afm you now have was used it might need to be cleaned.
you can buy mas cleaner but brake cleaned works just as well if not better. just be carefull pulling the sensor out of the housing and putting it back in.
if the mas is new then you might have a vacum leak you were not aware of.

he is saying to remove the maf sensor from the housing if it is removable but it sound like a vaccume leak , your ecm may need to be reset so it will see the correct airflow also , do this by disconnecting your battery for at least 10 mins . turning your iac screw clockwise will lowwer your idle just take note of how much you turn it so if it doesnt fix it you can put it back .

make sure nothing got in your intake piping while you had the maf off, i had a buddy get a paper towel stuck in his throttle body while doing some **** and he started it and it just idled at 3k+, but seeing as you didn't mention anything about your throttle sticking or gas pedal feeling abnormally stiff then im sure it's just a vacuum hose, what it sounds like to me but i would still just check your piping for anything... coudln't hurt.
