there seems to be a guy out there that wants to be the test pig so to say... i am putting together a stage 4 motor for him and should have all of the parts in the next 30 days... we will be doing the dyno work in chattanooga... the price for the whole motor comes out to be 3200 bucks with all the parts installed except the ecu program and dyno time... that is the only thing that has not been worked out yet... i will find out the name of the shop doing the dyno work and give everyone the results as we get them...

the stage 4 motor comes with 40 overbore forged rods pistons rings and a crank new head (race ported and with all new internals) cams intake manifold throttle body injectors fuel rail fuel pressure regulator gaskets and all the labor... the customer will be supplying me with the block and the head as a core then i will be installing the new motor into his car and taking it down south...

hope all this goes right... if anyone is intrested in doing this and wants a motor built... it will take about 3 weeks from the time i get the block and head... return shipping will be aranged when the motors are finished...

if anyone is intrested catch me on aim... wikd24d... or on msn messenger stain13@hotmail.com

either 72 lb/hr or 550 cc injectors... as with all of the options there will be a choice... the kits will be fully customisable depending on your application...

about HybridKA, somebody mentioned the cams they sell up there. The owner frequents these boards and has a one of a kind SOHC with performance greater than an sr. How much more, iDon`t remember exactly, but it certainly cost more to put together than a redtop clip. NA performance is more expensive, but at the same power, having smooth NA power delivery and a much higher redline, it`s an advantage over the competition on the track (road course, iDunno how fast his car is on the strip).

I`m pretty sure his username on here is DeviousKA, his name is Gabe, and he`s the most helpful, and knowledgeable KA builder i`ve ever heard of. I`m always bothering him with questions on AIM.

hey Wikd,

I think I remember reading one of your posts about how to replace the front seal on the ka, correct me if i'm wrong but you recommended pulling out the engine to do it. I was wondering if it'd be possible to replace the seal while leaving the engine in the car. Like if I just took out the radiator would I have enough space to pull off the front cover?

the problem is with the oil pick up tube... there is not enough room to get it out with the oil pan still in place... it is easier to remove the motor than dropping the whole front suspention and cross member... thats why i say pull the motor... i can have the motor out in 2 1/2 hours... if you can find a way to pull that front cover out to get the oil pump pick up tube off then have at it... i just dont know if there is a way to do it...

ic... yeah the FSM says to pull the engine too. I just have a slow leak right now so I'll probably hold off until i can find a cherry picker and gather up the tools ill need. Is there a "front seal kit" with the replacement parts I'll need?
