having your car loud at the track is really annoying, way too loud and youll be flooring it the whole time which will make it louder. youll be going 20mph and itll sound like your going 120mph.

the only reason ill keep my exhaust its because ill lose power without it. but if i can, i would run open headers to here for myself how loud it is. im just curious guys... my exhaust its too quiet.

unbolt it, at first youll like it but once you drive around for a week or so itll get old...i ran open turbo for over a moneth due to having to take off my exhaust/downpipe...at first i was like hell yea it sounds badass....by the tie i got my exhaust back on i was like oh thank you jesus!

get real headers and not a stock exhaust manifold, a test pipe, and keep your 3in. exhaust, if your car is not loud enough then sell it because your 240 is not a ****in race car

lol yea well open headers is a lot louder than open turbo outlet...plus you dont get to hear that sweet sound of screaming spoolage coming from the turbo, being NA in all

You aren;t a GT driver nor is a 240 ricer status, so don't do it. The only wahy you can get gains from open header is if you tune for it, and for that you need money and dyno time and an tuning capabilities. If you;re gonna go that far, sure go ahead, but it's still retarded. A header, test pipe, and 3 inch exhuast is plenty loud. Believe me, I have that, and it's ****ing loud at WOT. I love it.

The engine would need to be tuned specifically for an open header.
The header design as well needs to have much longer runners than what you would find on a HOT SHOT or DC header.
Valve overlap or the position of the cams would need to be changed as well as ignition timing and fuel dumping.
Most header out set ups run a **** load of fuel, and have ignition timing way above what our stock 20BTDC is.....
Not a good IDEA IMO and it would sound loud as hell, get some ear plugs....

Research what the effects of scavaging is to understand why header out is not good for typical street engines....
