i have my whole motor outta the car with the head sittin up on the bench... egr is exhaust gas recirculation valve... that is on the back of the head between the head and the intake... i dont see any temp sensor there at all... i have a vaccume valve and the egr valve itself... with no wires in it whatso ever...
the only electrical connection i have is on the acc valve under the intake manifold...

OOps my bad man. I just took a look at my Actron code scanner book for OBD1, the code should be the same for OBD2. Supposedly you are throwing a code 35 Right?

There may be a leak. Or follow wire connection and replace the sensor at the top or at the bottom" can't really remember" of the EGR valve, also check to see if your wires are still intacked and not dried out. I believe the temp sensor is on the EGR". Again check connection and wire's. It can also be the EGR valve if need be replaced, first test, place the EGR valve in a bowl of water and blow air in to the outlet "use a long tube" to the mani. If you don't see bubbles in the water it will need replacement,"EGR valve could be jammed".
If your wiring is over 10years old it should be replaced, due to the extreme heat conditions under the hood. You can get the wires and sensor harness through www.digikey.com and it is cheaper than getting it at nissan. Hopefully that helps...... Sorry for the misguided info from the AIV.... I get the AIV, thermostat, and EGR confused "sorry that I didn't pay attention to the reading and that you mentioned EGR, I read to fast sometimes". Also since the EGR/BPT sensor also throws a code 32," for vacuum and valves".... I will delete the original post, sorry for the prior retarded misguided info. My bad I appoligize, I hope that this will help...........

Code 32 in the actron code scanner says: Exhaust GAS Recerculation Sensor- Bad EGR control valve, EGR control solenoid valve, Exhaust gas temprature sensor, Back pressure transducer(BPT), or canister control solenoid. Clogged vacuum port, Faulty vacuum lines, or valve sensor wiring....

From what I understand if your vacuum lines look good, then you need to replace the entire EGR/BPT... Takes to long to check alll the parts, and once one part goes faulty, the whole EGR begins to go faulty.
I just did this procedure myself at about 125,000miles.
Just unbolt the old and put in the new EGR/BPT cost relatively $90bucks, install takes about an hour, while you are at it replace all the cheap hoses anyway.
Do Not let a mechanic do it, they will charge you the 3 hour maximum requirement.
Also forgot to mention you will also want to check wire connections, they could be a little rusty, if so dipp the connection in a lube called anti sieze, prevents moisture from getting into your connection. It is usually used for light bulb connections.....

OH no, don't tell me you work for Found On Roads Dead. Yeah it is a job though. You will find out that for an import Nissan builds cars powerful and reliable, with just as much torque, than there are donkey's. I think you will also find out that nissan equipment is a little bit more technical than ford parts, also making the engines more reliable than Fords.
Nissans are also simple fix it problems, I think you will have fun...

As for the mani dont remove it, or else you will get into a big pile of shiat. Then you will have to get new gaskets, and there is the chance that you could bust off the knock sensor in the process.

Its on the lower portion of the intake manifold so drop the lower portion to get to it,its a small screw with a wire going off of it.Not even that close to the egr more in the middle of the lower intake manifold.
