Dunno man, I haven't heard of this being a problem with 240's, just check everything logical under the hood uncluding the cat. Unrfortunately this isn't a commen problem because no one knows the answer. If it's a huge deal take it to shop or ask some @ the auto store.

WHAT? so you think that a sulfer smell from when the car is run hard, specially with more than 2 people in the car is from a dead animal? lol mmmmmmmmmmmmmmk... Anyway, most likely its just your cat. Its nothing to worry about. I have a 98 and my car smells like that after I get that CAT<<< NOT THE ANIMAL, nice and hot. Im also running really rich to though.

its a sweet smell? could it be tranny fluid? i just bought a 92.. this one has a bit of a tranny leak that gets it all over the heat shield by the cat. when it gets hot, it gives off a distinctive smell, you'll know its a tranny fluid smell, i dont know if you could call it sweet though.

does it get stronger if you put the heater on full blast? cuz when I hear "sweet smell" it reminds me of back in the day when the heater core was leakin in our old ford taurus... that was nasty smellin, I know you said it doesnt smell like coolant, but I just thought Id throw that out there for ya.

You're not running well water in your coolant system, are you?
j/k

No one menitioned brake fluid. More passengers would cause more weight transfer to the front wheels under braking. If the calipers are leaking then it would cause brake fluid to get on the hot rotors. You would then smell this as you drive. Brake fluid has a sickly sweet smeel when it is burned.

It's a reach but I can't think of anything else.
