You did it wrong then. If it sounds like a v8 then your timing is off. It should scream in the upper rpms

i guess i have to start over again then. so what you do is take the intake cam of and have someone hold the sproket in place and put the exhaust cam on, retard the sproket timing 3 degrees, put it back together and call it a day? lol hopfully cause thats what ill be doing in a couple on minutes.

No. Set the sprockets to stock spec, then rotate the intake cam along with the sprocket 4 teeth, not degrees, counterclockwise.

More top end, awesome sounding KA in the top end. This is all you do. It has been answered like what, 2 previous times by me in this same thread.

Are you shure about that?
I was pretty shure that the placement of both 248's decreased overlap and increased CO2 and HC's..
We just tried smogging an OBD2 KA with OBD 2 diagnostics, it failed smog with the hot cam swap.

It passed before with the 232/232's.
I also had to help some NICO members that were having the same issues with smog mostly with raised HC's and CO2's.
The placement of the 248 exhaust onto INT is actually advanced more than it should for stock Nissan settings. The duration alone when paring the 248/248 decreases proper overlap and then since it is also advanced when compared to stock it has even less overlap then it should.
I have to stress that people that do this combo need to properlly set the degree correctly onto INT, the 248 can make alot of power but it needs to be retarded. Atleast 2degrees to bring it amost to stock and almost 3 degrees for more added power. Problem is there is no company that makes a cam gear for the KA that will alow 2 degrees.
If you use the Altima exhaust cam like most NICO members are using it can put you slightly closer to stock specs at under a .5 advancement from the stock location, it's placement is set a bit better than the location of teh 248EX onto INT using the KA24de 240sx exhaust cam.
