Unhappy oil leak

OK, when I got my car I thought it might have had a little oil leak. I thought, oh well, I plan on getting the swap done soon.

Well , things dont work out, and I havent got the swap done yet. Seems I need money. SO im gonna try to fix this motor for the time being. It is leaking oil, but i dont know where its coming from. at first i thought it might be coming from the valve cover, but I cleaned it up and after i drove it around for a week, there was nothing there.

I dont want to tear into the thing just to find out, so if anyone has any thoughts, or if the KA motors are known for leaking from somewhere, it would be great if i could find it out.

Please help me

wow are you guys serious? lol. Why not try looking around the OIL PAN... it has a gasket to ya know. Sometimes as simple as stripped threads on the oil plug or pan itself. SOMETIMES you just need to get a new little gasket that is sapose to go on the oil plug itself. Check the simple things first. Also alot of stupid guys double gasket there oil filter on accident and oil leaks all over and they never even see the othe gasket stuck on there.

its possible that your oil pan is rusted and has a hole in it...is try buying a new one...but first you should get som1 else to look at it who knows alot about your problem and ask them for advise.

No, just there is "stating the obvious" and"OVERstating the obvious" You way overstated that one, lol. Its no biggy though. Keep on learnin bro
One thing about an oil leak, your whole motor is pushin oil through it, you just gotta do a good clean, and then search =D they do take a while.

when i first got the car, i changed the belts. while we were under there, we checked to make sure all the bolts in the oil pan were tight. i am pretty sure its leaking frm somewhere up above. there is oil everywhere, but i dont think the leak is too bad. i will probably try cleaning it up real god and then checking it out.

thanks for the input
