rattling
When my car has been sitting for awhile when I start it it rattles for about 5-6 seconds then stops. It is comming from the engine. Someone mentioned it might be valves or lifters. Any ideas?

It could be the timing chaine/tensioner. Could also be the lifter...and from your other post(the oil burning)could quit possibly be your valves. So there are a few things..

could bad piston rings cause oil to burn?
