really thinking about rebuilding KA

Iam not having much luck with this sr20 situation, iam thinking of just rebulding the KAde. What should i consider replacing, and what parts / mods can give me some actual hp increase??

Balanced rotating assembly, cams, port/polish head, higher compression pistons.

You'll have a hard time getting near 200hp n/a, and the higher the total output, the more 'peaky' the motor will be. Just the way it goes n/a, when you start getting to higher specific n/a outputs, you start moving your torque peak higher in the rev band and lose 'area under the curve.'

You're going to end up spending some cash on the machining and assembly unless you can do it yourself. Not trying to discourage you, but you may be able to put together a low psi turbo setup for the same money as an n/a buildup and end up with a more driveable engine.

yea id rather go for a turbo set up. Run it at around 10-13psi for daily driving. I belive that shouldnt be to bad and the price might me a lil more or equal.

Don't things start to get expensive at that boost level?

I know that people have run 7 on stock injectors and bottom end. Iactually think there's someone in the New England area running 10psi on stock bottom end and injectors.

5-7psi can be done on the cheap without ripping apart the motor. Once you get into rebuilding the block, your costs usually rush right past the cost of installing an SR.
