replacement engine problems

90 ka24e. previous owner said the car ran great, until the engine blew (overheated). so i replaced the engine, now i have a problem. i double checked all the connections and everyhing seems right. when the car is on the motor vibrates a little, including the whole car. when i try to drive it, it only goes about maybe 2mph and wont go any faster. it revs fine.... but dosent go anywhere. any ideas? i'm going to check the spark plugs/wires, and fuel injectors today. also, on the distributor, i noticed to the left of it theres a small metal connection.... ground? thats the only thing i left unplugged. i cant find what goes connected to it. anyone know what that is? any help is appreciated.

oh and i looked up the firing order. it says 1-3-4-2 is that right?
